Celebrate Self-Care in July

International Self-Care Day is celebrated on the 24th of July this year, a day to pause and prioritise, restore and re-energise, finding practises that can be transferred to daily rituals whether this is a simple walk in the park, or a relaxing yoga session.

The phrases ‘self-care’ and ‘wellness’ have become commonplace in our modern vocabulary, adopted by brands and customers alike. Fast-paced and often frenzied lifestyles are now countered, even opposed, as people opt to observe practises of a decelerated lifestyle. The acceptance of mindfulness, rest and rejuvenation are widely supported, shifting the perception that wellness is an indulgence or coveted luxury. Spa treatments are no longer confined to exclusive getaways, in fact, small luxuries and moments of joy are now being widely embraced as daily practises that enhance our mental and physical well-being. The East meets West approach of topical products alongside gua sha tools is increasing popular. Other trends emerging include the cold plunge supported by Wim Hof, ice bath anyone?

What are your daily rituals? How do you create time and space to re-charge and re-connect?
